WORK EXPERIENCE--today is the last day to turn in your September assignments! Santee

HEALTH SCREENINGS - We are holding a health screening for students this year. It will be on Tuesday, October 21 starting at 7 AM in the Home Economics Room. If you would like to participate, please stop by the nurse's office and sign up for a time and get your permission slip. If you are under 18 you must have parental permission to participate. Also, you will need to bring cash, or a check made out to School District # 25. A 12 hour fast is required so be sure you do not eat before you come, unless you are a diabetic. There will be a light breakfast provided for participants following the blood draw. RHS Health Committee

CAREER PORTFOLIOS - Students working independently on career portfolios, you have only 10 weeks to complete them. Mrs. Santee is available for help during 4th and 5th periods and will have a work session Tuesday, October 21 after school. Schedule your interview with Mrs. Santee for October 29 (changed, not the 28). Santee

HEY RHS! Thursday dress is “Hard Rock” t-shirt and Hair day. We will have prizes for the BEST DRESSED. Parade is at 1:45 (release time is 1:15), and Night Activities at Tonkin starting at 8pm. Richmond

FCCLA Homecoming car, truck and bike show is today immediately after school. Come show off your vehicle in the following categories: Worst Clunker, Bass War, Best Custom, Best Stock, Best Paint Job, Best Motorcycle, Best Staff. Entry fee is $5.00 per entry, forms may be picked up at the front desk and returned to room #259. Entries must be in by noon today. Don't delay get your entry in for great prizes. Rivers

JUNIORS & SENIORS: ETS is sponsoring an ACT Workshop on Monday, Oct. 20 from homeroom thru lunch. Lunch will be served. Sign up at Guidance. If you have questions, call Mr. Bell at 840-1721. Bell

SCHOLARHIPS: Nov. 15 is the deadline for Seattle University's full ride scholarship. 45 awards will be given ranging from $11,000 to $18,500 per year. Candidates are required to attend a leadership day competition on Jan. 10 on the Seattle campus. Stop by guidance for further details. The Elks National Foundation is offering 500 most valuable student scholarships, ranging from $60,000 to $1,000 per year for four years. An extensive application process is involved, start early. Deadline is January 9. Seniors you are invited to compete for the Jefferson Scholarship to the University of Virginia. RHS can nominate one student that has exceptional ability in leadership and scholarship, financial need is not a consideration. Stop by guidance ASAP. Deadline is Oct. 29. Guidance

KEY CLUB - We will meet at 7 PM on Thursday for a short meeting prior to the Burning of the R. Everyone please be present as we need to discuss all that will be happening on Friday. If you have not paid your dues money, please bring it this week. It is $20, which includes a t-shirt. Those attending Key Leader need to bring your money for Key Leader and give it to Mrs. Peart. I NEED HELP with timing at the Girls Conference Swim meet both Fri and Sat. If you or a club would like to earn $$$$$ please let me know... Friday the meet will begin at 1:30 and we should be finished between 5:30 and 6:00. On Saturday the meet will begin at 9:00am and we should finish up by 2:00. Thanks. Bell
