The Bond Issue

As Good As It Gets
Here it is, the news is out the Bond Issue for the completion of the Activities Complex has failed by 50 votes. Approximately 2800 people voted, 49% of the registered voters, and the bond failed by 50 votes. Where are the other 51% of the people. Does this vote really reflect how Rivertonites feel about supporting our School District or is it a reflection of apathy within our community. Let me know what you think!

Bleachers in the Gym

Get out of the way. Take a look at the new look in the gym. The bleachers have been pushed back by 6 feet to allow the BB teams room during a game. We have lost some seating, but we have gained some game floor. Teams should not expect spectators to walk in front of them anymore. By the way, open gym is on for this week, Tue 11-6-07 through Fri 11-16-07.

Clean Up

The Graffiti has been cleaned up. The whole thing is white pure as snow, just like our students. Good work, thanks to Pat Long, Marisa Root Maureen Matson, Tracy Rockne for working so hard, all afternoon cleaning it up. We will let you know more when we know more.

Vandalism

Hey, can you believe it. We show up to work this morning only to find out that someone, or some people had vandalized our new Activity Complex. WOW! We haven't even had one event there yet and someone comes and spray paints it. No worries though, we have video camera's so we have suspects. Riverton PD, Lander PD, RHS and LVHS are working together to solve this crime. If the damage is over a $1000 it could mean severe consequences for the culprit(s). We have such an awesome community. Attached are some picturess of the vandalism and some community members cleaning it up. Check out Board Member Marisa Root, pitching in with the thinner and cleaning the graffiti up.
