ATTENTION RHS: it is time for the Achievements or A's of April. Each week we will celebrate a different aspect of life at RHS. If you are 16 or 17 you need parent permission and must meet the weight criteria. Check out the chart on the counter. TIDBIT: How much Calcium do kids need? If you are 9 or older you need 1300mg a day. You can get calcium from milk, cheese, and yogurt or even cooked while beans. Try to eat 3 servings of foods a day that have calcium.

If you are 18 or older you do not need permission, it is entirely up to you. There are some limitations however, for your height and weight. Stop by the counseling office and check out the chart. If you are eligible, please take a permission slip and reserve your spot on the sign-up sheet. The actual blood draw will be on Thursday from 2 to 7 PM. Our goal is to collect 30 units of blood. We will get a reminder to you the day before. Please be sure to check out the other donor qualifications before you sign up. If something comes up and you are unable to donate the day of the draw, please let us know so that we can find another donor. Hughes/Peart

TIDBIT: Good sources of Vitamin C are oranges, lemons, grapefruits, strawberries, tomatoes, and potatoes. Foods with a lot of vitamin C when eaten with meat or beans helps the body also get more iron.

CONGRATULATIONS to the team of Thomas Pointon, Macy Fegler and Brady Beers, for their 1st place finish in the 9th and 10th grade level of the District Wyoming State Math Contest. In the 11th and 12th grade level top score getters for Riverton were Alex Davis, Connor Faran and Britney Domine. All of the Riverton High School participants scored very well and need to be congratulated for making Riverton High School proud. BLOOD DRIVE: The Spring Key Club Blood Drive is coming!!! And, this time around we have a big CHANGE. 16 and 17 year olds may now donate with parental permission. If you are 18 or older you do not need permission, it is entirely up to you. There are some limitations however, for your height and weight. Stop by the counseling office and check out the chart. If you are eligible, please take a permission slip and reserve your spot on the sign-up sheet. The actual blood draw will be on Thursday, March 26 from 2 to 7 PM. Our goal is to collect 30 units of blood. We will get a reminder to you the day before. Please be sure to check out the other donor qualifications before you sign up. If something comes up and you are unable to donate the day of the draw, please let us know so that we can find another donor. Hughes/Peart
