FRESHMEN CLASS Homecoming float meeting in the Media Center during lunch on Thursday. Bring your own lunch this time; we'll provide pizza next time when we know how many will be building the float. Reminder: If you don't help build the float, you can't ride the float. Morrison

FCCLA Homecoming Car Show is just around the corner. The car, truck and bike show is Wednesday, October 15 immediately after school. Come show off your vehicle in the following categories: Worst Clunker, Bass War, Best Custom, Best Stock, Best Paint Job, Best Motorcycle, and Best Staff. Entry fee is $5.00 per entry; entry forms may be picked up at the front desk and returned to room #259. Entries must be in by Tuesday, October 14. Don't delay; get your entry in for great prizes. KEY CLUB OFFICERS: this is a reminder that you are to meet today after school to work on your presentation for Kiwanis. Please be there. Key Club will meet on Thursday at 7 PM in the Career Center. Dues need to be paid this week. Talk to Mrs. Hughes or Mrs. Peart if you have a problem. Hughes

PSAT: The PSAT test will be administered on Wednesday, Oct. 15 beginning at 9:00am in Room 259. Juniors who have earned a GPA of 3.6 and above should consider taking this test. Please see your counselor for further information. The cost of this test is $13.00, payable to Ms. King in the main office of RHS. Payment is due Oct. 15. After that date, a late fee payment will be accepted but will be increased to $20.00. NOTE: (Sophomores with a 3.8 GPA and above may want to consider taking this test for practice, but will NOT be eligible for National Merit Scholarship consideration. Please talk with your counselor for further details.) Guidance

TODAY’S TIDBIT: Isn’t it weird that grapefruits, apples, and pears will float in Jell-O but cherries and prunes will not!
