STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS RIVERTON HS TUES., 4/12/11 ACTIVITIES: WORK EXPERIENCE meeting Wednesday @ 7:45 a.m. Santee KEY CLUB is collecting "gently used" children's books for the Books and Breakfast event this Saturday. Please go through your closet and bring any books that you would like to donate and deposit them in the box by the front desk in the high school. They should be for infant through 5th grade. Thanks for your help. Key Club STUDENTS: Keep this Friday open for a fun time. Where do you want to be? At the RHS gym. What are you going to do? Have a blast on the large inflatable activities like the bungee run, the obstacle course, huge slides, and bouncers. Who is invited? Everyone in town from 0 – 99. There will be carnival booths to test your talents and mouth watering food at great prices. Inflatable tickets are $12.00. Carnival booth tickets are .25 cents each. Don't miss the cake walk! Come support the sophomore class earn their funds for their prom and graduation! Iden ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES: Remember this Friday is the Spring Carnival. This is your fund raiser to help pay for prom and graduation so you do not have to pay the money out of your pocket when that time comes. Each sophomore is responsible to make this a successful activity by helping with the booths, advertising and inviting their friends to come. Don't forget that each of you are asked to bring a small cake or a dozen cupcakes for the cake walk. This is a fun evening. A simple way to earn your money! Come and do your part! If you have not signed up for a booth in your home room, stop by Mrs. Iden’s room to sign up. We really need everyone to help. Iden FFA meeting today at 7:00 pm. Styvar HEY GIRLS! Are you ready to play powder puff football? Each roster can have 9 players; the games will be 8 vs. 8. Team fee is $20. Let's try to build this into an annual tradition at RHS. Registration forms are at the front office. Please submit forms to Ms. Richmond NO LATER THAN Thursday, April 21. We need to have at least two teams sign up. Games will be Tuesday, April 26 @ 6:00 p.m. Richmond CHEERLEADERS year end banquet 6:30pm today at the Career Center. Hope to see you there! Also, cheerleaders will have a short meeting after school on Thursday in the commons to turn in all cheer uniforms and pom poms. Fines for lost or damaged uniforms must be paid prior to tryouts. Tryouts will be held Monday, April 18 through Thursday, April 21. Walker CONGRATULATIONS to the RHS Key Club. At last weekend's Rocky Mountain District Convention they received the following awards: Early Bird Award, Diamond Level Distinguished Club Award, 1st in Single Service Award, 1st in Non digital poster, 1st in video, 2nd to JD Manzanares in the Oratory, 2nd in the non-traditional scrapbook, 2nd in the Talent Competition with the "Band Geeks" improve group. Jessica McGurn was recognized as a Distinguished Club Vice President. The club also had the most members in attendance (17) at the convention and raised the most money ($3000) for the district service project. Good job Key Club. Hughes/Peart NHS: There will be a short NHS meeting before school on Wednesday. We will discuss graduation and potential service projects. The meeting starts at 7:40 - please be on time.
