STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS RIVERTON HS MON., 4/18/11 ACTIVITIES: Tuesday – Boys/Girls Track, Riverton Twilight, 2pm ATTENTION all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors – the RHS dance team is back! There will be an informational meeting regarding try-outs today during both lunches in room 128. It is really important that you be at this meeting if you want to get involved. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Krieger or Ms. Linck. Krieger FOUND: a phone was turned in to the office at the Career Center. See Mrs. Weber to identify. Weber KNOWLEDGE MASTER: Anyone who would like to be part of the knowledge master contest on Wednesday periods 1-3 needs to sign up with Mrs. Maulik ASAP. This is a fun time; you answer questions as a group, have snacks, and learn what you know or what you need help with. Knowledge Master is open to all students’ grades 9-12 who are passing. See Mrs. Maulik in the media Center today! Maulik ATTENTION ALL WOLVERINE READERS: Today is the last day to turn response sheets in to earn Wolverine Dollars. We have moved the year-end Wolverine Readers Event to Thursday noon through the end of the day. Come check and see if you have earned enough dollars to attend. It will be bigger and better than ever. READ…READ…READ. Maulik HEY GIRLS! Are you ready to play powder puff football? Each roster can have 9 players; the games will be 8 vs. 8. Team fee is $20. Let's try to build this into an annual tradition at RHS. Registration forms are at the front office. Please submit forms to Ms. Richmond NO LATER THAN Thursday. We need to have at least two teams sign up. Games will be Tuesday, April 26 @ 6:00 p.m. Richmond ANY VOCAL OR INSTRUMENTAL GROUP that would like to present during the Riverton Rendezvous Celebration this summer please call Mrs. Peden after 3:30 at 856-1526. Peden HEY RHS! Get involved! We want you to join student council! Student council elections for class officers for the 2011-2012 school year will be May 4th during homeroom. Each class elects seven council members: a class president, vice president, secretary and four representatives. If you can commit to weekly meetings and want to help plan school and community activities, run for a student council office. Election forms are at the front office. Please complete the form and turn it in to Ms. Richmond, room 102. The forms are due to Ms. Richmond by the end of the day on Monday, May 2nd. Richmond ACT/WORKKEYS TEST for juniors will be given on Wednesday, April 27. Juniors, please be at the high school by 7:45am, a free breakfast will be provided and you will report to your testing room by 8:00. Testing will be completed between 11:30 and 12:00 and all juniors are then released for the day. You may return for afternoon classes, but are not required to do so. All other student’s, grades 9, 10, 12, will not report for morning classes. Busses will run as necessary at 12:00 and lunch will be available for the normal fee at the Career Center beginning at 12:20. You need to report to 5th hour as usual at 12:55 and we will have a normal afternoon schedule. If you need bussing, please contact the bus garage at 856-3623 to make arrangements.
