CLOSE UP STUDENTS: there is a final KTRZ check up meeting Thursday at lunch in Mr. Chouinard’s room. The meeting will last the entire period so bring something to eat. The following week businesses that are not yet sold will be redistributed. Sell your business so they won’t be reissued to other students who are working hard to earn money. Please make arrangements to attend this meeting so Mr. Chouinard can begin to put the radio day together. Chouinard

THERE WILL BE NO KEY CLUB meeting this week due to the Lander game. Please get out and support both basketball teams. We will meet at our regularly scheduled time next week. Hughes/Peart

CANCER HERO: Riverton’s Hats Off for Hope Gala will be held March 13. During the event a presentation will be made to a Fremont community cancer hero. A committee of sponsors will select this special person from those nominated by friends and family. All cancer patients are heroes. There will also be a wall to honor all nominated. Please help us find these courageous people and their stories by filling out a nomination form. Forms may be picked up at the high school office. Nomination forms must be turned in by February 15.

SCHOLARSHIPS – check guidance for more information:
*The Fremont County Commissioners' Scholarship worth $1,000 per year, based on need, character, extra-curricular activity and scholastic ability. Deadline is April 15th.
*The Kaiser Foundation Scholarship $3,000/year and is renewable up to 4 additional years. This scholarship is awarded to outstanding seniors. Deadline is March 1, start the process early to fulfill all of the requirements.
*The University of WY Alumni Assoc. is announcing their in-state scholarship. The funding is $750 per semester for 8 consecutive semesters. You must be in the top third of your class, with a minimum ACT score of 20. Deadline is March 15.
*The WY Assoc. of Educational Office Professionals is sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship to be used within the state of WY. Selection is based on financial need, grades, and the application. A one-page essay is required, deadline is Feb. 26th.
*Seniors: The Casper College Visual Arts Scholarships are now available, but hurry. Deadline is Feb. 6th during their portfolio Day!
*The local PEO Chapter H Scholarship applications are now being accepted. Deadline is April 15th.
