STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS RIVERTON HS WED., 9/9/09

SENIORS: We will have a lunch meeting on Thursday in room 4A at the Career Center. We will be discussing the homecoming float, class motto, class flower, etc. Please bring a lunch and lots of great ideas! Asay/Adels

ACT test prep for the Sept. 12th test will be available for those needing help in math, in particular Geometry, during the Math Tutoring sessions this week. Check on the posters in the hallways or with any math teacher for times and locations. Williams

SENIORS planning to complete their career portfolios independently, Mrs. Santee will have your packets ready by Tuesday, Sept. 15. Continue listening to the announcements for more information. Santee

WOLVERINE READERS: We will have the Wolverine Reader Club annual kickoff party in the Media Center during lunch on Thursday. Pizza will be provided and we will explain the club happenings and vote on officers. Please stop by the Media Center today to express interest, sign up to attend, and/or nominate potential officers. ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB'S first meeting will be Monday, Sept. 14 after school in Ms. Miller's room. Come check out what new and exciting projects we have in store this year. Miller

STUDENTS: Please do not use the middle school parking lot as a drive through to avoid the intersection at major and sunset. It causes huge safety issues for the middle school students. RPD will be citing anyone caught using the RMS parking lot as a roadway. RPD

SENIOR HALL OF FAME: if you are a senior and did not receive a ballot to vote, please see Ms. Peart in room 105 to pick up a ballot. Ballots are due Friday. Kirkland

REGISTRATION FOR DUAL CREDIT courses will be held on Monday, Sept. 14 and Wednesday, Sept 16 from 2:30 to 5:30 in the Media Center. If you are planning on enrolling in courses in math, Chemistry, Physics or English IV, you will need to have completed your Compass or ACT test. If you have any questions, speak with your teacher or your counselor.
Guidance

ATTENTION SENIORS: Seattle University is offering the opportunity to apply for a 4 year scholarship that includes full tuition, room and meals. Deadline is November 15. Stop by the guidance office for more details. Seniors interested in attending Montana State University, Bozeman can check out their non-resident scholarships at www.montana.edu/admissions/scholarships.shtml. Guidance

ACT REGISTRATION: The last day to submit paper registration forms for the October 2009 ACT (and have BOCHES pay for it) is Friday. Return completed applications to the BOCHES bin on the counter in the Guidance Dept. Guidance

RHS SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Are you interested in the University of Wyoming? How about joining us on a trip there on Saturday, Sept. 26th to take part in Campus Pass Day. We are taking two suburban’s down so space is limited to first come first serve. If you are interested please contact Mr. Hernandez in the media center on your own time so we can get you registered by September 18th. The day consists of leaving at 6 am getting to Laramie and registering, taking part in fun activities with clubs on campus, lunch is provide and then we attend the UW vs. UNLV football game at no charge to you. So get with Mr. H and reserve your spot. Hernandez
