RHS Student Announcements

RIVERTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS WED., 1/30/08

ACTIVITIES:
Friday – Speech @ Natrona, JV/V
Friday – Ron Thon Wrestling @ home, JV/V
Friday – Boys Swim @ Gillette, JV/V, 5pm

LOST AND FOUND: the office will be placing all lost and found items on a table in front of the high school office. If you have lost or misplaced anything, please stop by and take a look. Whatever is left on the table by Friday will be donated. Office

SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP - How would you like to spend a day skiing/snowboarding at Teton Village and not have to drive or spend money for gas? Now you can. On Saturday, Feb. 9, there will be a ski trip to Teton Village sponsored by RHS. The bus will leave at the wonderful hour of 5:30am from the Career Center. We will be back by 9pm that day. Sign up at the office and pick up the necessary information. You will need to pay for your lift ticket and equipment rental, if you don't have your own. Hughes

LUNCHES: There will be no Cruising Café on Friday due to the Ron Thon Wrestling tourney. All lunches will be at the Career Center. Pizza Hut Pizza will be served. Office

SKILLS USA MEETING on Thursday at 12:10 in Mr. Gopp’s room in the Career Center. Gopp

ALL CLOSE UP STUDENTS: there will be a required meeting at lunch on Monday, Feb. 4 in Mr. Chouinard’s room. At this time students who are going to D.C. this year will get their final bills. We will be setting up work schedules for the Feb. 16 KTRZ Radio Day, Pizza Hut Pizza Night held on Monday, Feb. 25 and our final parent meeting date in March. All members need to be in attendance. SENIORS: The Architectural Education Foundation is offering multiple scholarships to Wyoming students of architecture. Deadline is May 1st. The Riverton Lions Club Scholarship based on need and leadership will be awarded to one boy and one girl. Deadline is April 1st. Are you planning on becoming a teacher? The Linda Kinne Scholarship for education majors will be awarded to one boy and one girl. The scholarship is valued at $500, deadline is March 1st. Do you have a relative that was or is in the Armed Forces? You might qualify for the Veteran's $500 scholarship. GPA must be at least a 2.5. Stop by guidance for more information and/or applications on all these scholarship opportunities. Guidance
