RIVERTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS MON., 1/14/08

ACTIVITIES:
Today – BBB/GBB @ Dubois, 9th, 4pm
Today – BBB/GBB vs Shoshoni, 10th, 4:30pm
Tuesday – Wrestling @ Dubois, JV, 5pm

SENIORS – Any senior planning to attend CWC in the fall of 2008 is invited to apply for admission and/or meet with a CWC admissions representative to answer any questions that you may have on Tuesday. A sign up sheet has been provided at the Guidance Office. A Financial Aid Workshop will be held at the Career Center on Tuesday beginning at 5:30. Bring your parents and access information regarding methods that you can use to pay for post-secondary education and training. Dual Credit Registration will be held on Tuesday and Thursday in the Media Center from 2:15 to 5:00. Guidance

A REPRESENTATIVE from Northwest Community College will be here to visit with interested students Tuesday at 7:30am at guidance. Guidance

CLOSE UP STUDENTS please turn in your money and paper work to Mr. Chouinard for the KTRZ fundraiser as soon as possible. Final turn in day for this fundraiser will be Thursday. Chouinard

FBLA Members: There will be a meeting on Tuesday, January 15 at lunch in room 4A. Please bring a lunch and your dues, if you haven't paid. We will be discussing competitions for State Conference. Asay

SCHOLARSHIPS: Native American Seniors, applications are available in the guidance office for Montana State University's Native American scholarships. For WY seniors only! Kaiser Foundation Scholarships, award is $3,000 per year and is renewable. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA! Seniors, if you are interested in activities that will further the common good of the people of the Wind River Reservation stop by the guidance office to pick up your application for the Chief Washakie endowment. Deadline is March 1st. Are you a senior with a Hispanic heritage? Apply for McDonald's Hacer scholarship. Deadline, Feb. 15th. The Wyoming Game Wardens Association is announcing $350 scholarships that can be used for trade schools, community colleges or universities in or out of state. Seniors interested in an Agriculture career are encouraged to apply for the WY Weed & Pest Scholarship. There is no minimum GPA! The award is $1,000, deadline is March 1st. Juniors: Are you are interested in attending West Point's Summer Leaders Seminar? There are 2 sessions available at a cost of $325.
