RIVERTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS TUESDAY, 10/30/12

ACTIVITIES:

HEY RHS! Today is the last day to enter a pumpkin in the pumpkin carving contest for a chance to win fame, recognition, and some great treats!! Entries may be dropped off at Mrs. Talbott's classroom anytime today. Categories are Scary, Funny, Happy/Cute, Painted, Unique, and Staff entry. Pumpkins will be displayed in the Media Center. Judging will occur tomorrow morning and winners and prizes will be announced on during 1st Hour. Get your Halloween on! Talbott

CAN MEMBERS! Sign up in the CAN room if you would like to carve a pumpkin for the contest. We will carve them today after school and during the Halloween Party from 6:30 to 9:00. Thornley

STUDENT COUNCIL is sponsoring a Halloween Costume Contest again this year. Categories will be funniest, scariest, most original, best homemade, group, and staff. We'll judge during the Halloween assembly, but be sure to sign up before the contest. Sign-up sheets are at the front office. Peart

CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS: End of season awards will be today at 6:00PM in the Career Center. Please turn in your uniforms ASAP to Coach Gopp. Gopp

HEY RHS!! We will be conducting a mock election today. ANY high school student can participate! Go to either room 242 or 127 computer labs at the high school. You may go to one of the labs before school, at lunch or after school to cast your vote. Richmond

HEY SENIORS!! If you are 18, you can rock the vote! Please sign up at the office to ride the "get out and vote" bus. If you have not registered to vote yet, you may do so at the polls on Election Day! Bring a photo I.D. You must sign up for the bus by Friday. We will leave at 1:50 and return about 2:30!! Richmond

GOT TREATS? RHS Leadership does!! We will be selling spook-o-grams after school, and at lunch, today in the commons area. Purchase your choice of Halloween candy to be delivered to your favorite spook on Halloween during first period. $1.00 per Spook-O-Gram. ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB will have a meeting Thursday morning at 7:30am in Mrs. Miller's room. Miller

A REPRESENTATIVE from WYO Tech will be in the auto shop on Thursday from 8:00-11:00 to talk to juniors and seniors interested in Automotive, Diesel and Auto-Body Tech School. Gopp

SENIORS: Turn in your Hall of Fame ballot to Mrs. Kirkland ASAP! We are tallying votes now; if you want yours to count turn it in. Thursday is the LAST day you can submit it to be counted! Kirkland

SENIORS, college application week will be next Monday, Nov. 5th through Thursday, Nov. 8th. On Monday the 5th we will be making a campus visit to Casper College that is open for Juniors and Seniors and you must sign up with Mr. Taylor by this Friday to go. We will also be having evening application sessions from 5:00 - 6:30 on the 6th, 7th, and 8th in Computer lab room number 250. If you have yet to apply for college here is your opportunity to get it done! If you have any questions please visit with Mr. Taylor. Taylor

KEY CLUB MEMBERS who are helping with Pumpkin Patrol are reminded to be at the Chamber on Wednesday at 5 PM. We will do Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF after that. We need everyone there. Hughes/Peart

2. Give an additional 3 hugs (remember what an appropriate school hug looks like. Go to RHS channel 3 news on YouTube if you forgot and look at the “Homies” video created by the RHS video class)
