1-2-3 DODGEBALL! Hey RHS it’s that time again. Student Council is now accepting team entries for the 7th annual dodge ball tourney. The tournament is Monday, February 21st. Sign-ups are at the front office. Entry fee is $30 per team. Get your team organized now! Richmond

STUDENTS: The admissions representative from Black Hills State College will be available to meet with on Wednesday, February 9, at 8:00am by the Guidance Office. Guidance

ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery): this test is on Feb. 23, 2011 @ RHS, meet by the counselors office at 7:45 a.m. The test will take approximately 3 hrs. This test is for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. This test is not only for those thinking about joining the military. If you are unsure of what you want to do in the future this test will show you what your interest are and what it takes to get the job you want. You can go online to get practice test for the ASVAB. ATTENTION SENIORS: Just a reminder that Friday, February 4th from 9:00 - 2:00 CWC will be hosting Scholarship Day. Various scholarships require interviews or auditions and will require that you schedule a specific time to attend. Please check out the list of these scholarships on the senior hall bulletin board.

NEW SCHOLARSHIPS:
· McCarthy, Winner & Thorpe Scholarships worth varying amounts for Native American seniors. Deadline of Feb. 1st is fast approaching. Pick up your applications on the guidance counter.
· There are 3 Fremont County Commissioners Scholarships valued at $1,000 and must be used in the state of WY. Deadline is April 15.
· UW’s Multicultural Pride Scholarships of $1,000 - $2,000. Must demonstrate leadership, involvement in multicultural issues and a 2.5 GPA or higher. Deadline is March 1.
· The Northern Plains Eye Foundation is announcing their $1,000 Health-Care Education Scholarships for seniors planning to study in health-care related studies. You must have a GPA of 3.8 and ACT of 28. Deadline is March 1.
· Students interested in pursuing a health care career might want to consider the Billings Clinic Scholarships worth varying amounts from $200 to $2,000. These scholarships may be used in Montana or Wyoming. Deadline is March 31.
· The Hearst Scholars Award Program at UW will award several scholarships of varying amounts. You must plan to attend UW as a full-time student and you must be a member of one of the listed minority groups. Application and further information is available on the guidance counter.
