STUDENT COUNCIL: Only the students going to WASC will meet Wednesday. Kirkland

SCHOLASTIC CHESS: there will be a 2010 Wyoming State Scholastic Chess Championship at LCCC on Saturday, Nov. 13. Registration time is 8:30-9:30am (if not preregistered). Entrance fee – all pre-registered participants is $5.00, registration at the door is $10.00. Office

SPEECH/DEBATE: There will be a general speech and debate meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Thornton's room for anyone attending the November 5th meet in Evanston. There is also performance sign-up sheet on the speech board for anyone interested in performing their interp or oratory piece prior to the tournament. Thornton

STUDENTS: Do you think any of your friends look like someone famous? If so come talk to Ms. Kirkland. Yearbook is doing a look alike page. We need suggestions. Kirkland

WIN COOL PRIZES: Are you interested in learning about Europe or Asia? Want to know what Africa is like? Then start your reading journey with our –“Read around the World Contest.” Read books from different countries and earn passport stamps. Once your passport booklet is complete, you will be entered into the contest to win great gifts. If you are a Wolverine Reader, you may also earn wolverine dollars for participating in Reading Around the World. Please ask the RHSMC staff for details! You can read fiction or non-fiction about different cultures, events, people, countries or customs around the world. Books may also be written by an author from a different country or be about a character from different countries. Fill out a passport, get it stamped as you go and turn in your completed passport for your golden baggage claim to great travel rewards and prize drawings. SENIORS: The University of Wyoming Application Day will be held on Monday, November 8th beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please sign up for an appointment and pick up an instruction sheet - on the counter of the Guidance Dept.

BOYS SWIMMING & DIVING pre-season workouts from 7-8 pm at the RAC. All boys planning on coming out for swimming & diving need to come and practice. Dayton

OPEN GYM: Boy’s basketball open gym will be Monday & Wednesday right after school and Tuesday & Thursday at 6:00. Mortimore

CLASS OF 2001: you may pick up Josten’s order forms from Mrs. Adels in room 18 or at the Career Center office. Look through the packet and read the instructions on the order forms. The only portion of the order form you must fill out is Section 1, Student Information and Section 4, Height and Weight. If you get an extra tassel on November 3 that will cost you extra later! RHS pays for your cap and gown out of your senior fees. You are responsible for anything else you order. The Jostens’ rep will be in the media center on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00. Please use your homeroom, free period, or lunch time to meet with him. Please fill out the Senior Graduation Diploma Information and give that to Mrs. Adels or Mrs. Asay-Glenn at the Career Center. This must be your full legal name.

STUDENTS: It's that time of year again!! The Kiwanis "Coats for Folks" is approaching. Please go through your closets and sort out the outgrown or no longer used coats that could help keep someone warm this winter. Please run any coats/hats/gloves or mittens that you wish to donate through the washer and then bring them to school to deposit in the box by the front desk. There is a box at both the HS and CC. The event will not take place till Nov. 13, but now is the time to donate. Thanks for helping out!! Hughes

STUDENTS: Thursday is Key Club's first Blood Drive of the year. We need lots of people to donate. The sign-up sheet is on the counter at the guidance office. The drive starts at 2 PM and will run until 7 PM. Please read through the criteria sheet that is on the counter as well. You may donate at 16 with parent permission. Be sure you pick up a permission slip, if you are a student, and bring it with you to the blood drive. You must also bring a picture ID with you to the blood drive. Hughes
