SKILLS-USA will have a steak fry and opening social in the auto shop today at 7:00 PM. All students are welcome to come see what Skills-USA is all about. We will also be planning the home coming float. Gopp

ALL RHS STUDENTS may attend the homecoming dance on Saturday, October 2. However, you must be academically eligible, so take care of your grades. Richmond

ALL BOYS SWIM & DIVING TEAM MEMBERS need to time at the girls swim meet Thursday as part of a fundraiser for the team. Dayton

SPEECH AND DEBATE: There will be a speech team meeting for sophomores through seniors in room 114 at 12:10 on Tuesday. Please bring your lunch. Freshmen interested in speech and debate will meet after school in room 114. Thornton

THE ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE from the University of Wyoming will be available to visit with students today beginning at 2:00 at the Guidance Office. Guidance

CHADRON STATE COLLEGE is hosting "Eagle Open House Day" on October 11, 2010, for all students interested in the possibility of attending their college. Details are posted on the senior hall bulletin board and on their website.

SENIORS: 3 new scholarship opportunities have just arrived! Students interested in attending Montana State University, Bozeman should check out their non-resident scholarships. The award amount varies and the earlier you apply the better chance you have. Seniors that have achieved an outstanding accomplishment in a non-academic activity or project are invited to apply for the AXA Achievement Scholarship. There will be a winner from each state! Deadline is Dec. 15th. Seniors interested in writing an essay on student’s constitutional rights at American colleges are invited to pick up information regarding a $5,0000 scholarship contest. Deadline is Nov. 1st. Stop by the guidance office for applications and information. Guidance

HEY RHS: If you are showing your amazing school spirit and wearing pajamas today, stop by the Media Center and enter a drawing to win a Java Java mug and a free drink card. Participating staff may enter the drawing too. Two winners will be drawn at the coronation assembly Tuesday morning.

HOMECOMING UPDATE: Homecoming royalty elections are today during 3rd hour. Student Council members will come to your classroom with ballots so that you can vote. If you do not have a 3rd hour class, please see Ms. Kirkland for a ballot. Tuesday's dress up day is "avoiding the paparazzi" day-- so wear your hats and sunglasses! The Homecoming Coronation assembly is Tuesday @ 8:45 in the gym. Sit with your second period class. Senior homecoming nominees report to the gym @ 8:00 to practice. Be dressed and ready to go. Tuesday night is movie night at 7 p.m. at the bowl. We are showing the Blindside. Friday is the parade--get those floats ready! Richmond
