STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS RIVERTON HS TUES., 3/29/11 ACTIVITIES: ANY STUDENT who is planning on participating in spring golf, there will be a meeting in the library on Wednesday right after school. Practice will start April 4th. Flanagan SPRING TENNIS will begin Monday, April 4th. All are welcome to come out for this fun sport! No previous experience or equipment is necessary! Meet @ 3:45 in the HS commons. Make sure you have a physical and fill out insurance papers if this is your first sport this school year. We have a few out-of-town matches scheduled and everyone will be able to play in these! Wolf ANY FRESHMAN CAN MEMBER who is interested in becoming a board member may pick up forms from Ms. Reddon in Guidance or Ms. Fisher in room 142. You need to have forms returned by Friday. Reddon THE IDEAL Big Vending Machine at the Career Center has a sale on Microwave Pop Corn. Buy a bag for only 50 cents!! There are two student microwaves at the Career Center for you to pop the corn and have fresh pop corn in just minutes!! Abernathy HEY FOLKS, we need lots more people to sign up for the blood drive. We need to let Riverton know that RHS cares. Please head to the guidance office and sign up. You may donate at age 16 with parent permission. Everyone must bring a picture ID with you. The drive is on Wednesday, April 6 from 2 to 6 PM. Hughes BOOK DRIVE - Key Club is holding a "gently used" children's book drive for the Kiwanis Books and Breakfast event on April 16. Please go through your stash at home and bring books that are toddler through about 5th grade. There is a box at the front desk in the high school so let's see if we can fill it up. Hughes SPAGHETTI DINNER - Key Club is holding a spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, April 5 to help fund our service projects. It will be at the Career Center from 5 to 7 PM. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids. The meal will include both meat and veggie sauces, salad, bread sticks, drink and ice cream. Come out and support the Key Club. See any member for tickets, or ask Mrs. Peart. Hughes SPRING FLING DANCE - The freshman are going to sponsor a school wide Spring Fling dance. The dance is scheduled for Saturday, May 7. More details to follow... Kirkland MANDATORY FFA State Convention Meeting for freshmen during lunch on Wednesday and sophomores, juniors, seniors during homeroom on Wednesday. Styvar ANY STUDENT participating in the Close Up/DECA rummage sale on Saturday needs to stop by Mr. Chouinard’s room before school, at lunch, between classes, or immediately after school on Thursday and pick up a rummage sale task reminder. Be at the high school on Saturday between 6:45 & 7:00am to set up your tables with your items already marked and ready for sale. The sale is from 8:00-11:00am and we invite students to the sale as there are a lot of nearly new teen clothes in this sale.
