SCHOLARSHIP: Male students interested in attending UW are encouraged to apply for the Alpha Iota Book Scholarship. $500 a semester and may be renewed. Applications are available in the guidance office, deadline is June 15th. Guidance
FACTS OF THE DAY: The word “pothole” came from the Irish. They used to boil their potatoes in a pot, when they were finished cooking, the pot was lifted off the fire and set on the ground to cool. In the process of mashing the potatoes, the pot would be pushed into the ground and in time a deep hole would develop – a pothole! Hughes

FACTS OF THE DAY: Ice cream is really Chinese food. Marco Polo, a famous explorer brought a recipe to Italy for a dessert called Milk Ice he found in China. The Europeans substituted cream for the milk, and ice cream was officially born. Hughes
